Please reblog, don't repost
I needed some practice with Copics ^^; I'm so sorry I made you, my dear Zelda fan watchers, wait so long for just a generic Link.
Am I really the only one who is bothered by the colour of Link's scarf? Red would have suited him much better just like the prequel Link

Hello, I saw you on commenting on a post in Artist-Confessions once that you wanted critiques but nobody would help you, so I decided to do it for you. First off, nice shade of blue you chose, looks good with the green. But your anatomy needs a lot of work. The most glaring mistake is that his eyes are not centered on his face, they are too much to the right (our right). Just selecting them in photoshop and moving them to the left would fix it. Even though the shape of his face makes it seems like he's facing towards us, his eyes, nose and mouth are pointing in a different direction, to his right. You need to decided where he's facing. On the same subject, one of the locks of hair in front of his ears is longer than the other. About his ears, even though his head is tilted, the ears don't follow that line and are placed on the same horizontal line. I'm not sure what's going on with his arm either, since, judging by his shoulders, it seems like he's facing forward but his arm covers most  of his chest as if he was facing to the side. Look at photographs if you have trouble with anatomy.

Now about his scarf, there are way too many folds in it. Beginners tend to overdo folds in clothing, and unless the fabric is really thin, that's not how it should look. About light source, it's everywhere. You need to keep a consistent one in mind and follow it.

Lastly, I see you were going for a textured effect, but you overdid it. The textures are overbearing and confuse the eye – we don't know where to look at. You can definitely make traditional art that looks clean, you just need to know how to use your materials properly. The medium is never the problem (or the solution), it's the artist.

I like both of the scarves. But red would make us confirm our head canons. XD That's very cool!
